Group Show – Emerging artists – Copenhagen 2014

Opening Friday, August 29 from 16:00 – Late – @ Holbergsgade 10 – 1057 Copenhagen.

New works by Vuk Cuk, Luke Diioro, Bailey Hikawa, Dean Levin, Nicholas Pilato and Antoine Puisais. In Copenhagen.

Dean Levin, from South Africa, is currently based in Brooklyn.

Nicholas Pilato, young Brooklyn-based artist who paints with cement and oil. He started out by doing a series of works that involved casting porcelain in cement. The works were well-regarded, but very heavy, so he went back to painting. As his practice evolved, he took what he learned from sculpture and applied it to his new pieces. The result is gorgeous.

Luke Diiorio, based in Brooklyn, he recently graduated from The Royal Academy of Art in London. His process involves painting large-scale works on canvas, which he then folds. The abstract paintings he does in the beginning are in themselves very beautiful, but it is the final result that defines him aesthetically.
